How I plan to bring a change to the society being a Microsoft Student Associate?

Hello friends,

I am JITENDRA KUMAR student of 

Computer Science

 & Engineering Department Oriental University, Indore.

ME AS A MSA

I believe that whatever I know about Microsoft is just a drop in the ocean. As a MSA I would get an opportunity to learn a lot more things about Microsoft. This is not a competition for me but an opportunity to work for the world’s largest software organization. Throughout the journey of my life I have been learning new things, as a MSA it would be a lot more exciting as I can spread to a lot more people what I know.

Generally many people are in perception that Microsoft is limited to only operating systemwhich is not true. I want to change this by spreading the knowledge about what exactly Microsoft is. I want to know about the hard work put by 1,01,914 employees to create different products. It’s the time for me to pay back to them.

Well in fact of the numerous products developed by Microsoft there is no proper usage because of lack of knowledge in the society or people. Many of them have interest to use them but aren’t able to use as they basically don’t understand them. So as a Microsoft Student Associate I would take part to help out others understand how to work with the products of Microsoft. I will explain them by conducting seminars. Many of the students who don’t belong to Computer Science & Engineering background have less idea about computer and products related to it.  I will help the students of my campus by conducting events and seminars in college. When we have everything then why to miss just because of not having proper information. So being a Microsoft Student Associate I would like to change the society in an organised manner where dealing with technology becomes so easy and fun for everyone. When this program was announced I was so eager to take part in it as I feel that I have all the qualities that are required for any student to be a part of MSA. I am an enthusiastic student, I usually leads the team or group, I’m a Microsoft certified professional. So hopefully wish to get a chance by getting selected as Microsoft Student Associate.

Microsoft organization is searching for people who are innovative, passionate, energetic and social. I am one of such person. I am looking forward to step up with Microsoft as a MSA to spread awareness about the products and show how their lives will become much easier. I would efficiently perform my job if given an opportunity.

I am here to tell you about my story what I have learnt from Microsoft.

Microsoft has been a ubiquitous organization for more than 30 years. Bill Gates andPaul Allen founded Microsoft Company on April 4, 1975 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. From a small, private business, to a huge, global corporation, Microsoft has changed and shaped the internet as society knows it today. Having booming success, Microsoft has become the world’s leading producer of computer software.

           “1993-1994” was not only a year where our generation was born but also a year where Microsoft has put forward its 1st step towards its huge success and growth in the world. It introduced an era where the computers were containing a particular microprocessor chip which contains Microsoft operating system i.e. from windows 3.1 to windows 8.1. The software was so famous that it gradually spread throughout the world and this is the time where about 90% of the PC’s contains Microsoft operating system.

I remember the day when I first faced a computer. I thought it was just a box but when I got to know about it I was amazed. It was Microsoft that made me learn them. Today we are completely surrounded by computers but what powers these computers have is partly because of Microsoft. They have been a part of my life since childhood. Somewhere, somehow they entertain me they teach me and they support me. Nowadays internet has become very essential for us. It was Internet explorer which connected us to the world. Internet explorer was the 1st ever internet browser that we used.

Earlier it was actually restricted to well trained people to work on software’s but now Microsoft made it easy for the common people to use these software’s by introducing different products. Microsoft has got their legs in every technology product.

  “Microsoft is not about greed. It’s about innovation and fairness.”- Mr. Bill Gates.

I would like to list done few products of Microsoft which made our work much easier.

MICROSOFT OFFICE

Office is a game change and one of the company’s largest selling divisions. Most of the reports we write will be in MS word. Everything from power point to excel the publisher changed the way we edit and view documents

BING

Bing is a search engine from Microsoft that brings together the best of search and help people searching anything in less time with great accuracy.

.NET FRAMEWORK

It was actually made for developers but it was so easy that a non developer can learn and start developing products. I have experiences this by using visual studio and the whole .Net package. Developing application with .Net is too easy as I created six windows PC apps. The developer’s software like code view, Microsoft visual studio, Microsoft visual source safe are few of its types.

OUTLOOK

The personal email service from Microsoft it has brought a new interface to the world to mailing clients. It is very easy to use and is much more than sending mails.

SKYPE

It is one of the software which we would love to use it every day. We can talk with friends and family without costing much.

XBOX

Microsoft has changed the gaming experience from one level to the other. It has changed from boring PC gaming techniques to a gaming console which can be connected to a TV and played.

Not to forget about the video games brought by Microsoft. Most of the popular games are halo, age of mythology, age of empires, midtown madness, etc. I am sure you would have played them all and loved them.

                                                    SKYDRIVE

It is a secure, online space which has made our lives much easier. Imagine the days where we carry our hardware which have our documents saved but now, all you need to do is store or upload the documents to drive and access it from wherever we want.

WINDOWS 8 /8.1

It is the latest version of the windows operating system. It has completely changed the era of regular operating system. The main inbuilt feature of this OS was a antivirus software pre installed, different media reading software, also apps like Skype, skydive, calendar chat application etc. the most exciting part for me is the store where we can download different apps of our taste. This technology is now put in the pockets by the windows phone service which is emerging as the most promising product to the world of new technologies.

One day without any of these products would be like staying without drinking water for me.

Not to forget about an amazing invention of Microsoft “SURFACE”. This is the 1sthardware and software designed by Microsoft. It has released a series of tables. It can be used as a laptop or tablet by just adding or removing the touch pad. Typing on a plain surface just by seeing the letters position isn’t that great.

Microsoft Yappon Event:- 

Yappon - India's Largest Youth Hackathon was an event organised by EDUKINECT, a Microsoft Partner Company, for the aspiring Indian Youth developers and to give them a platform to convert their awesome ideas to great apps. I was the part of that App revolution which was a Remarkable Experience.

The event started with knowledge about Microsoft and then went over to the Teaching session in which they explained us How to develop Windows Store Apps. It was that Day and Today I am an another person.
